Formica Laminate Countertops

Why Consider Formica Countertops?

The price is first reason you should consider laminate countertops. Laminate is inexpensive and usually costs a lot less (about $30 per square foot installed) than solid surface or quartz countertops and comes in over 250 colors and designs. It is also easy to install and make a do -it-yourself project possible.

Second, Formica has been updated to include new products with new designs and even textures.  You can also get edge pieces that give laminate countertops a much better look than the old square edge and black seams.

A traditional matte finish is ideal for hardworking surfaces. It enhances color by producing greater clarity and depth. A textured or reflective finish —just as durable as a traditional matte finish—can bring additional realism to stone and granite patterns.

Formica Corporation's Premiumfx line offers finishes such as:

- Radiance - high gloss and punctuated with texture, featuring holographic facets that refract and reflect light.

- Etchings - softly polished, etched and dappled with highlights from tiny fissures reminiscent of those found in real granite and stone.

- Honed - low-sheen satin finish with subtle surface clefts and crevices that mimic softly brushed stone.

Formica Countertops take a lot of wear and tear so you'll want some idea of how they'll age before choosing a material. Laminate countertops
